The Conejo Valley YMCA is hosting its fifth annual Turkey Day Dash on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 26. The 5k run/walk and 1k family fun run/walk will take place at The Oaks Shopping Center (350 West Hillcrest Dr., Thousand Oaks). The length of the races are short enough so everyone can make it back home in plenty of time to prepare for a Thanksgiving gathering. All ages and abilities are welcome. Professional timing is provided for 5k runners. The 1k family fun run/walk begins at 8:00 a.m. and the 5K run/walk starts at 8:30 a.m. Race day registration begins at 7:00 a.m. in The Oaks' parking lot. Proceeds from the Turkey Day Dash benefit Conejo Valley YMCA youth and senior programs. Cost: $25 pre-registration (until November 22) and $30 on race day. Family rate: $60 (pre-registration) and $70 on race day (immediate family members only). Participants receive a Turkey Day Dash YMCA t-shirt.
